Treasure Time in 2015

Return on Time Invested (ROTI)

Excerpts from Grow Your Seeds by Uyoyou C. Charles-Iyoha

Unlike other resources that a person spends money and time to acquire, TIME is the only resource that is given free of charge to everyone in equal proportion. Everyone has twenty four hours in a day to either work with or play with depending on the person's priorities. Time is free, readily accessible and is affordable by anyone. However, time is a very valuable resource that requires strategic, wise and adequate processing for profitable returns. Time wisely and properly processed works to advantage but time that is not wisely and properly processed turns geniuses, princes and princesses to slaves and servants. The wise use of time is the difference between poverty and wealth, a sound mind and an unsound mind, a gossip and a builder of men and women, children and youths.

One of the greatest gifts you can bestow on yourself is to know who and what to spend time on as well as learn to say an emphatic NO to people and activities that waste your time. Fifteen minutes of gossip can take out ten years of development and progress from your life. How?  You will always go back to that gossip time with your partner about almost every day and fifteen minutes will stretch to thirty minutes and so on until you get so used to gossiping that it becomes a full time or part time job. So also is waiting for hours on end for a friend, associate attending to their affairs while you are just sitting there at a corner doing nothing constructive but waiting. Waiting endlessly for nothing is not only such a waste of time, limitations and hindrances on your progress, it is also bondage. The earlier you break off such limiting relationships, the better for you. The same principle applies to other wasteful activities such as watching just any movie for days on end without learning any applicational lessons that will move you forward in life.

Do the right thing at the right time; and make every effort to do the right thing right the first time. To achieve this, you must be disciplined, organized, courageous, consistent, sacrificial, patient, and humble, be willing to learn and practice continuously, corrigible and hardworking. The best and fastest way to move forward in life is to learn. Believe you do not know it all and learn. The time spent learning saves you the trouble of hazarding guesses, gives you sufficient leverage to plan and prepare.

One of the greatest secrets of time is wise planning. Always plan for anything you want to do. Lack of planning signifies inability to think. Apply the same hard-line principle of not throwing away your money to time. Time is too precious to throw away in frivolities with time wasting people and activities. Time incidentally is also money and power.

Time is what transforms seeds sown in right soil to harvests of bread and fresh seeds for further multiplication. Time is what transforms a baby into a toddler, a toddler into a teenager and a teenager into an adult; into a parent, a grandparent; into a leader and what have you.

Time is what transforms the promises of God, read and understood, meditated upon, prayed and prophesied into manifestations of the promises. Time is what turns thoughts and ideas that are creatively and strategically processed into finished products such as institutions, corporations, goods and services that rake in money.
