Prepare for the Greatness Ahead

Excerpts from Push and Take Back the Borders by Uyoyou C. Charles-Iyoha
The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty. Proverbs Chapter 21 verse 5 NIV
According to Mensah Otabil, tomorrow has no power to design itself. It only takes the form and shape of the consequences of our actions or inactions today.  Remember your future is always a potential to be revealed and since it is yet to be revealed it may not have much value to you today.
Everyone is born great. This greatness comes from fulfilling God’s plans and purposes for one’s life.  However, many people are not able to attain that greatness on account of lack of preparation. This is because, rather than prepare to fulfill God’s plans and purposes for their lives, they prepare to chase the many winged paper called money for its own sake alone and not for the higher purpose of adding value to and enriching the lives of many people around them.
Moses became great from fulfilling God’s call on his life to lead Israel out of Egypt.  Though born for this purpose, it did not happen overnight.  God arranged it in such a way that Moses received royal and diplomatic training to enable him stand before Pharaoh.  He was especially capacitated for this job by being raised as an Egyptian Prince inside Pharaoh’s palace.  That prepared him for the diplomatic negotiations with Pharaoh and his court. Moses received the training prior to the encounter with Pharaoh and therefore could hold conversations with Pharaoh.
So also was Esther. She was specially prepared for the position of a queen. A queen has graceful carriage, mien, mannerisms, gait, tone, facial expressions, emotions control, grooming, and negotiation skills.  It is not just about beauty but a combination of beauty, spirituality, knowledge, education, experience, expertise, poise, wit, humor, grace, charm, wisdom, intelligence, patience, ability to know when and how to speak, act and grooming. She received all of this training prior to meeting the King. It is no surprise that she emerged queen and ultimately skillfully played out wicked Haman with the help and wisdom of God.
Joseph also acquired royal training while in Potiphar’s household.  His leadership role coupled with his close observation of how Potiphar behaved helped in his first encounter with Pharaoh.  No doubt, God was with him, spoke to him, instructed him on what to do yet the same God hooked him up with Potiphar to learn the language, grace and mannerisms of royalty before meeting with Pharaoh.
The position and placing in Potiphar’s house also ensured that Joseph was imprisoned in the royal gulag therefore the linking up with Pharaoh’s servants and subsequently his name being mentioned to Pharaoh.  Divine contacts are for divine purposes, the fulfillment of God’s plans and purposes for your life. However, they are also platforms for preparation in the tasks and responsibilities ahead. Jesus is the greatest contact you can ever have.
Daniel and his friends were trained by the king for the great leadership role God had for them even in a heathen nation.  They were trained as Princes and eventually rose to the highest positions in the land.
Nehemiah was strategically placed in the palace to receive royal assistance towards the rebuilding of the broken down walls of Jerusalem.
How about our Lord Jesus Christ?  He trained as a carpenter, a very tasking, painstaking yet extremely careful job to fit in with His role of Saviour, Messiah, Deliverer, Repairer of broken lives, Healer, Provider, and Comforter.

Keys to Push and Take Back the Borders

Excerpts from Push and Take Back the Borders b y Uyoyou  C. Charles-Iyoha
The key to retrieve lost borders is to continuously attack and occupy. You can attack with the word of God, prayers, fasting, prophetic utterances and actions to take over ownership of the borders. Thereafter, you occupy which is the physical possession of the desired end. However, you have to identify your God given borders through a diligent study of the Bible to ascertain your inheritance in Christ Jesus. Once that is done, you can then stand on the word of God to refuse any boundary annexations.
Jesus Christ for instance exceeded the expectations of the Pharisees concerning him. As the son of Joseph and Mary, the Pharisees attempted to limit his boundaries by placing certain limits on him and the ministry God gave him.  But Jesus pulled down every barrier erected by the devil and the Pharisees. He broke tradition; exceeded the expectations of the enemy by choosing to function in His God given borders as the Son of God Who came to redeem man from sin with the word of God.
The devil also attempted to annex Moses’ borders.  All the antics of the devil to stop the plans and purposes of God for the nation of Israel through Pharaoh failed woefully when Jechobed, inspired by the Holy Spirit chose God’s plans and purposes for Moses. Unlike other male children of his time that the devil sentenced to infant death through Pharaoh, Moses broke through the barrier, the satanically arranged predetermined boundary of untimely death.  He survived it and was raised by the same institution that pronounced the sentence.  The institution not only raised him but ensured that he became a prince of the royal family.
Israel came under the threat of annexation in the days of King Ahab when King Ben-Hadad of Aram attempted to take over the nation of Israel, (Please, see 1st Kings Chapter 20). Initially, Ahab acceded to the threat of Ben-Hadad taking over his wives and children but when Ben-Hadad took it further and wanted the entire nation of Israel, Ahab refused. This is because Ahab knew the God given borders of Israel quite well and that the borders should not be traded for food or security.
Immediately, Ahab consulted with his cabinet and other leaders of Israel who pledged their support against Ben-Hadad. God further lent support by sending His prophet to declare victory and the strategy for the victory.
By refusing to assent to the satanic plot of boundary annexation through Ben-Hadad, the Israelites found favor with God who further gave them victory. Even when Ben-Hadad came a second time, he was utterly demolished though Ahab made the mistake of not killing the satanically engineered thief of divine boundaries.

Go After Opportunities

Excerpts from Push and Take Back the Borders by Uyoyou C. Charles-Iyoha

Though Canaan (the land which God took the Israelites to) is a geographical location of milk and honey coupled with freedom from slavery in the land of Egypt, Canaan also symbolizes divine opportunities. To get to Canaan, the Israelites undertook a journey that involved crossing a sea and wilderness coupled with fighting existing inhabitants of Canaan to take over Canaan. One of the prerequisites for their success was learning to depend on God for their daily provision and security. This however may not be the case for some of us today as Canaan may have different connotations ranging from job security, financial security, home ownership, spiritual growth, identification and accomplishment of divine purpose, being a parent, career development and a host of others. However, whatever your Canaan is, be rest assured that you will get there irrespective of whatever challenges dog your path.
This is because God created you a front-line general to do exploits for Him and reign in your God given borders.  You therefore have no business running after other front line generals who are already reigning in their God given borders while the enemy encroaches on your God given borders.  It is time for you to move from being a backside lieutenant to a front line general, lead the battle, and take full possession of your God given borders some of which may be controlled by the enemy. You can take over all such territory effortlessly with the power and presence of God. However, you must come back to your position so that the fire of God has to return to your eyes.  God did not call you to be mincemeat for the enemy. It is time to overcome, throw out the enemy and encroach on his territory as well.
You, whoever you are, whatever your circumstances are and no matter how long the challenges have stayed can push back the very limiting borders of mediocrity and obscurity to those of excellence where abundance and influence lie through daily increasing the quality of the work that you do. Therefore, take a quality decision today to possess your Canaan. You are the only one who can step out of all the shadows of oppression, intimidation and backwardness that the enemy forced you into through intimidation into God’s special position for your life.  Therefore; rise up to your full potential in Christ Jesus by improving on your relationship with God to recover power, the power to excel and prevail over every machinations of the enemy. Empowered by God, you will be energized to pursue, overtake and recover all.  All you need to do is believe God for the impossible and break every barrier and limitation on your path. Both Daniel and Joseph are classic examples.
I dare to say that you have entered the season of rising up and walking for you to take full responsibility for your life. There is no more time to wait for thirty eight years at the pool of Siloam like the man Jesus described in John Chapter 5 verses 1 to 15.
For years you have acted like the man by the pool waiting for someone to put him in the moving water. Jesus is saying to you now as you read , ‘I am the moving water and the water is always moving, so you no longer have to wait for the water to move, and significantly so, you do not need anyone to put you in the water. All you need is to reach out to me through the WORD and the storm ceases. You have wasted so much time waiting that you need to fly now. Ask God for speed to cover lost ground. Therefore, stop waiting for the water to stir.  Rather, get up, pick up your mat, walk a short distance and fly the rest of the way. There is so much ground to cover.
The man was ill for thirty eight years.  Though the ailment is not stated, he apparently enjoyed the state of inaction because he kept giving excuses. I have absolutely no idea what challenges confront you and have limited you from taking possession of your Canaan. Beloved, arise from the mental inaction bordering on mental paralysis. Refuse to be like the man at the pool for even when Jesus asked him, ‘will you be made whole?’  Rather than say yes, he gave excuses. Jesus saw through his mental disability and healed him.
