You may be born poor but you were not created poor. God did
not create you poor which explain why He gave you the power to make wealth as
recorded in Deuteronomy Chapter 8 verse 18. God also gave Jesus Christ as
sacrifice for you to become rich. Please read 2nd Corinthians
Chapter 8 verse 9.
Beloved, the circumstances of your birth, lineage,
nationality, race and whatever may boldly scream poor, poor, dirt poor but
please note that God Who created you for a purpose and Who loves you enough to
sacrifice His only Child for you did not create you poor. Everything you require
to become wealthy was already deposited in you at creation before the
foundation of the world. God created you rich, a lender to the nations. Please
read Deuteronomy Chapters 15 verse 6 and 28 verses 11 to 13. Therefore, do not
allow your circumstances place limitations on you so that you do not make the
necessary effort to take the relevant steps to get out of poverty.
You are created rich and can easily, by the grace and power
of God alongside the divine wisdom of God get out of poverty in the mighty name
of Jesus Christ.
The widow of the indebted prophet is a classic example. The
family was poor, poor as they come which explain why they lived on debt.
Unfortunately, the man of the house who had piled up the huge debt died. This
was another unfortunate incident in this poor family because the death of the
man implied that the debt would not be paid any time soon. So the creditor came
calling on the family – he would take the two sons of the debtor for debt
servitude. This was probably the wakeup call which the woman required. Only
recently widowed, her two sons were to be taken away by the creditor for
slavery. The woman was overwhelmed. She ran to Prophet Elisha to do something
about the situation; to ensure that her two sons were not taken away into debt
servitude.
Significantly and quite instructive, Elisha did something.
But it was way beyond the wildest imagination of the woman who was used to
living off debt and probably the generosity of family members and friends.
Elisha did not cancel the debt, did not command the creditor to back off.
Rather, for the first time in the life of the woman, she was to engage in an
economic activity which would give the family income, income to pay off their
debts and income to live on for the rest of their lives. They were no longer to
live off debts and the generosity of other people. They were to earn their own
money and live debt free.
Beloved, it had never occurred to this woman and her
children that they could ever earn their own money. But Elisha’s instruction to
her and her sons showed them how to do so. Significantly, there was a mental
paradigm shift in their consciousness. The widow and her sons dropped the
consciousness of debtors, and took on the consciousness of lenders to the
nations. And as they obeyed the Prophet to the latter, they made wealth happen
and became not only debt free but respectable members of their community. Also,
God’s intervention in their lives through divine directives given by Elisha
opened their eyes of understanding that they were not poor people who could
never earn livable income and would therefore always be borrowing. It also made
them realize that God blessed them with the innate capacity to make wealth; be
debt free and respectable. Significantly, you do not have to lie, to cheat or
steal or even do anything ungodly and illegal. All you need to do is to partner
with God and He will help you make wealth happen just as He did for the widow
and her two sons.
Beloved, you have great innate potentials to be wealthy,
very wealthy if you so decide. Your present circumstances which appear
challenging are actually the stepping stones, disguised opportunities which you
need to make wealth happen, because together with God, you can make wealth
happen, be debt free and be respectable in your community. Take the leap of
faith which you urgently need today, identify the income generating activity
you want to engage in, commit it to God and proceed to wealth city. May God
bless and favor you as you embark on this divine journey to unleash your divine
but innate potentials in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Shalom
