Excerpts From Launch Out into the Deep by Uyoyou C.
Charles-Iyoha
This chapter
covers all facets of grooming, from the bathroom to the dress you wear and how
you wear it. I consider this chapter one of the most important chapters of this
book because wrong or bad grooming can impact a person negatively. To introduce
the discourse, I have deliberately shared some very valuable but timeless
advice from the Bible as well as some respected global leaders in business.
Make sacred
garments for your brother Aaron, to give him dignity and honor. 4Make tunics,
sashes and headbands for Aaron's sons, to give them dignity and honor. Exodus
Chapter 28 verses 2, 40 NIV
One day Naomi
her mother-in-law said to her, "My daughter, should I not try to find a
home for you, where you will be well provided for? 2Is not Boaz, with whose
servant girls you have been, a kinsman of ours? Tonight he will be winnowing
barley on the threshing floor. 3Wash and perfume yourself, and put on your best
clothes. Then go down to the threshing floor, but don't let him know you are
there until he has finished eating and drinking. 4When he lies down, note the
place where he is lying. Then go and uncover his feet and lie down. He will
tell you what to do." Ruth Chapter 3 verses 1 to 3 NIV
She makes
coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple, Proverbs
Chapter 31 verse 22, NIV.
Good grooming
doesn’t cost money; it just costs you a little time each day. You need to check
yourself in the mirror to make sure you’re proud of what you’re seeing there.
If you appear unkempt, your business will be unkempt too.
People want to
do business with people who look good, and if you look like crap, you’re not
going anywhere.
Clothes make the
man and the woman, and if you want to be successful in life, you should start
with your wardrobe. Clothing does not have to cost a fortune, but you should
invest in some high-quality items that you can rotate throughout your week. It
takes money to make money, and clothing is always a good investment. Donald
Trump
Dress well means
exactly that – dress well. There is simply no excuse for dressing badly,
dressing down, dressing dumb, dressing cheaply or dressing carelessly… Dressing
well is the most noticeable thing about you. Richard Templar.
