Why Plant on Such Grounds
Inattention – you were not paying attention while
planting so your seeds probably fell by the wayside; the path to the farm; rock
on the path to the farm and the thorn bushes along the path to the farm.
Thoughtlessness – you did not do any thinking not to
talk of strategic thinking about where to plant your seeds therefore any
ground, just any ground would suffice. A little thinking would have given you
options of planting grounds and a little more probing to analyze the options
(referred to as strategic thinking) would have led you to the right planting
ground albeit good ground where you could plant your seeds knowing your seeds
would be safe and secure, have sufficient moisture for nourishment and there
would be no contention for nourishment between your plants and thorns.
Non chalance – you do not give a hoot. After all
they are your seeds; aren’t they? But you forget a critical point. They are
divine endowments for divine purposes. What will you tell God, the Owner of the
seeds on the day of reckoning?
Laziness – too lazy to go the whole hog of
identifying the right place and even if someone
else identifies it for you, like the lazy man described in Proverbs Chapter 26
verse 13, you will see several lions on the way and have the supposedly perfect
excuse for not even attempting to know the place talk much of preparing the
place for planting so you can have great bountiful harvests.
