Push out into Deep Water

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha
Move away from where you are now to where God wants you to be in 2020. Peter and his colleagues labored fruitlessly all through the night but when Jesus Christ instructed them to push out into deep water; where significantly, God wanted him to be at that point in time; and he obeyed, Peter and his colleagues’ harvested abundance.

Beloved, move away, NOW from fruitless labors to FRUITFUL LABORS by pushing out into the deep waters God planned and purposed for you from the foundation of the world. That is to say that there is a divine place and time for you to harvest and enjoy abundance if only you will pay attention to God and be where He wants you to be.

Beloved, pay attention to God through the Holy Spirit to get the specific location as Peter got – into deep water and not shallow water. Peter was also instructed on the specific activities to engage in – launch out your nets for a catch. Beloved, get your clear specific instructions and obey God. You will definitely have sure harvests and abundance in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

You may have to learn new skills, interact with and collaborate with a new set of partners, build strategic alliances that are purposeful to your new destination and activities. Go ahead and do so. Also, LEARN TO APPLY NEW SKILLS; DEPLOY LATENT EXPERTISE in your deep waters and harvest abundance in 2020 and beyond in the name of Jesus Christ.

Hone Problem Solving Skills

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Problems have always existed and will always be part of life. There are two reasons for this. Problems either make or mar a person, institutions, family, nation, religious organization.  Also, problems are as diverse as people and ethnic groups are diverse. This implies that about everyone, family, community, institution and nation experience problems.

However, there is a problem experienced by the vast majority of people globally. It is the problem of insufficient to absolutely no money. This is a global problem which prompted multilateral agencies and governments of different nations to adopt poverty mitigation measures, some of which were successfully implemented and are success stories as well as global best practices. Yet the problem of financial poverty still stares a good number of people in the face.

It is also ironic that money stands in front of people, besides people, stares at them, smiles at them, beckons to them;  and sometimes literally pulls them, tugs at them, even begs them to come grab him; yet the vast majority of people spend a lifetime looking for money who is patiently knocking at their doors and waiting for them to just open the door; even slightly so that he can come in; take up residence and settle down with them permanently.

The biblical case of the widow of the indebted prophet is a classic example. She always had jars of oil in the house; and her husband probably also had other skills besides being a prophet and the son of a prophet. Yet they lived what I dare to call a financially irresponsible life. The man borrowed and kept borrowing until eventually he died leaving behind an undesirable inheritance of a huge pile of debts which had mortgaged the lives and destinies of his two sons to debt bondage or slavery. That is to say his two sons would serve their father’s creditor until the creditor decided that the debts were fully paid for. What a life!

The Dynamics of Divine Wealth Transfer

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

One of the dynamics of divine wealth transfer is wisdom as in the case of King Solomon whose wisdom was a source of wealth. Kings, queens, and a number of people from diverse backgrounds brought treasures of gold, silver, and other resources to King Solomon as gifts as they came from far and wide to hear his God given wisdom.

Yet another dynamic is divine favor as in the case of the Israelites in Egypt. They requested gold and silver items as well as clothing from the Egyptians and received. Please read Exodus Chapters 3 verses 21 to 22, 11 verses 2 to 3, 12 verses 35 to 36, and Psalm 105 verses 43 to 45. God made the Israelites inherit the land and labor of the nations, the original inhabitants of Canaan. Please read Genesis Chapter 15 verses 13 to 14.

Divine intervention, for instance when Jehovah the Man of war, the Lord Who is strong and mighty in battle, Who does not lose any battle intervenes in battles and defeats and destroys the enemy so that the wealth of the enemy is transferred to the people of God whom the enemy rose against. The Syrian army besieged Samaria to the point that the Bible records that there was a great famine in Samaria. As a result, cannibalism became the order of the day as some foolish women resorted to trading in their children for food at the advice of other wicked and ungodly women. When the king heard about this from the victim, a mother whose son had been boiled and eaten, the king tore his robes and threatened to kill the prophet Elisha.

Rather than react to the death threat, Elisha prophesied abundant supply of food that would put an end to the famine. Though a high ranking official of the king attempted to create doubt, wondering how on earth the prevailing famine would come to an abrupt end the following day, Elisha prophesied doom against the official. Significantly, the doubts expressed by the official did not stop God’s intervention because God works in mysterious ways. He did not rain food supplies from heaven. Rather, He used the same people who caused the famine to bring the famine to an end. How?

Divine Wealth Transfer

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’  I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.” John Chapter 4 verses 37 to 38.

He brought forth His people with rejoicing, His chosen with shouts of joy. He gave them the lands of the nations, that they might inherit the fruit of others’ labor,  that they might keep His statutes and observe His laws. Hallelujah!…Psalm 105 verse 43 to 45.

Divine wealth transfer is as old as humanity. Wealthy parents have always transferred wealth to their children either by way of inheritance when they leave this world or apportioning each child his or her share of the wealth while they are still alive. Wealthy relations are also known to bequeath their wealth to either blood relations or loved ones. Whichever be the case, the fact is that wealth always gets transferred as it is never static.

God always transfers wealth to His own; not by might nor by power but by His Spirit and usually at His appointed time. A number of biblical case studies attest to this fact. The Israelites for instance labored in Egypt for a long time, were treated badly but at God’s appointed time, the same people who despised them and used them for slave labor gladly gave them their articles of silver and gold and clothing thereby enriching the Israelites on the eve of their departure from Egypt. Please see Exodus Chapters 3 verses 21 to 22; 11 verses 2 to 3; 12 verses 35 to 36. This wealth which was divinely transferred to them came in handy and served the great divine purpose of giving offerings to the Lord for the building of the tabernacle when the need arose to build the Tabernacle of God in the wilderness. Please read Exodus Chapters 25 verses 1 to 8; 34 verses 4 to 10, 21 to 29. Additionally, some of the skills they had acquired in Egypt such as spinning yarn for fabrics, dyeing them in brilliant colors were also offered to the Lord as offerings.

Give it Expression

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

What do you do with pearls? You showcase them. You do not hide them under your pillow, bed or a hidden case as a good luck charm. It is when you showcase the pearl or pearls to the world that you get the true value for the pearl or pearls and enjoy the divine blessing.

Please, do not be like the man in the Philippines who found the current most expensive pearl in the world. It was only after his tiny home got burnt down and the pearl was found that the actual value of what he found and owned; a divine gift from God dawned on him. The man lived in penury for ten years while he had great wealth on him or with him. Significantly, he did not even labor for the wealth he was not aware of and which belonged to him. He found the pearl in a large clam as he went fishing. But unfortunately had no inkling of the value of the pearl of great worth except that it would make a great good luck charm which explains why he kept it under his pillow as a good luck charm. https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertanaas/2016/08/23/100-million-pearl-hidden-

Beloved, pearls are divine gifts from God to you to uplift you in life. If the man who found that great pearl knew the worth of the pearl, he would have traded it in for the money he had been working for all his life as a fisherman. But he was unaware which unfortunately is the case with a large number of people blessed with great divine gifts for actualizing purpose and making money. While the divine gifts may be latent or active, the agonizing truth is that a great number of people never actually get to know the value of the gifts and so they spend their lives in penury lamenting their poverty when actually great wealth resides in them. All they need is to come to an awareness of the value of the great deposit of God in their lives so that they can be prosperous and be forever free of poverty.

But awareness is not enough as a person laden with divine gifts also has to showcase the gifts as the Biblical Joseph did. If Joseph had not offered to interpret the dreams of the butler and the baker, he would not have had the opportunity of standing before Pharaoh. This is because the butler would not have known that Joseph could interpret dreams and therefore recommend him to Pharaoh. The Biblical Daniel also went to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon to offer his services – he would tell the King his dream alongside the interpretation. After successfully interpreting the dream and of course getting handsome remuneration, Daniel became the official dream interpreter of not only the Babylonian court but also that of the Persians and Medes when they dethroned the Babylonians and took over the ruler ship of the empire.

How to Correct Negative Financial Behaviors 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Make God your source. The Bible records in Psalm 23 that God is your faithful Shepherd. As your faithful Shepherd, He will always provide for you; in point of fact meet all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus as stated in Philippians Chapter 4 verse 19. Additionally, if God is your source, you will always ask Him for what you need and desire; as well as trust Him to make them available to you through His chosen channels and not who you think should meet the needs. For all you care, the person you are looking up to; putting your trust in may not have the resources you require to either give to you or share with you. But God Who always uses unlikely channels so that His name is always glorified will always send the resources you require.

The widow of Zarephath accommodated and fed Elijah throughout the period of the famine. Please read 1st Kings Chapter 17. Lydia the seller of purple in Thyatira provide for the Apostle Paul and his team. Some notable women in the Bible made ample provision for Jesus’ ministry. Please read John Chapter 8. The priest of Midian accommodated and fed Moses until Moses took on the job of shepherding the family flock.

A good number of biblical characters made God their source and they did not lack whatever resources were required for their sustenance and advancement in life. You can do same and you will never be put to shame because God does not fail and those who trust in God are never put to shame.

How to Correct Negative Financial Behaviors

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

What are negative financial behaviors and what makes them negative?

Negative financial behaviors are financial behaviors as well as attitudes which always put your financial figures in red – that is to say you are always financially stressed, financially insecure, financially dependent on people and circumstances. You never have financial resources stashed away for the rainy day and when there is a major or even minor need in your life, you are always at the mercy of other people – begging without shame and most times being ignored, or humiliated or even insulted. At other times, you have to borrow, and in some cases with high interest rates and you borrow, you may actually have no means of paying back the debts.

Dare to Make Wealth 3

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

To make and enjoy great wealth, you also urgently require a mental paradigm shift which will enable you let go of limiting mindsets that hinder wealth creation. Some of them include but are not limited to the ones mentioned here.

Do away with the limiting mindset of how to make do with insufficient financial resources on a monthly basis and take on the creative God breathed mindset of how to generate more than enough financial resources every month to pay your basic bills and support other less endowed people. Refuse to be one of the less endowed people no matter what life hands out to you. Rather choose to be like Jabez who refused to accept pain. He became successful. Please read 1st Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 9 to 10.

Do away with the limiting mindset of how to make do with half broken and chipped china, coffee mugs and take on the creative mindset of how to generate enough money to replace the broken and run down kitchen ware that litter your kitchen.

Do away with the limiting mindset of how to make do with old malfunctioning cars and take on the creative mindset of generating enough financial resources to buy new cars. Besides, you can start by asking God for new cars rather than daily ask God to help you so that the old malfunctioning cars do not disgrace you on the road. After all, it is the same amount of energy and faith required to pray for the cars not to disgrace you that is also required to ask God for new cars and the requisite financial resources to acquire new cars.

Beloved, you can consciously and deliberately ask God to give you the financial resources you require to live the quality life of abundance which God designed for you from the foundation of the world. Do not allow the devil deceive or intimidate you that it is your lot to live a life of scarcity and hardship. That is a lie from the pit of hell. The God Who gave His only begotten Son for your salvation (John Chapter 3 verse 16); also made salvation a total package of deliverance from any form of captivity to the devil and his cohorts. That is also why the Bible records that Christ became poor so that you and I will become rich. Please read 2nd Corinthians Chapter 8 verse 9.

DARE TO MAKE WEALTH 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Skills have always ruled economies as skills determine the key players and movers of most dynamic economies. An economy ruled by skills is a growing economy as the skilled people produce goods and services that are traded whether locally or globally. In such an economy it is a person’s skills that determine how far a person goes and how a person benefits in such an economy.

The unnamed virtuous woman of Proverbs Chapter 31 in the Bible was a highly skilled woman who perfected basic skills that every woman learnt as a young girl into an economic activity which provided great income for her and her family. Traditionally, every young girl learnt to sew and knit, cook and keep home. But the unnamed virtuous woman took the skills of sewing and knitting beyond making and providing clothing for her family to a business which provided the financial resources to start another business; procure land for a vineyard for wine making. What an amazing woman! She took her business seriously and sold to only people who had the financial capacity to pay. Beloved, these skills are selling globally as fashion designers and owners of eateries and restaurants post profits in millions and billions of dollars. Some fashion designers have even moved on exclusivity and are described as luxury designers. They produce for the wealthy. So also are some restaurants and eateries. It takes tons of money to dine there. What are they selling? Skills!

DARE TO MAKE WEALTH

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Stop managing poverty, begging for bread and living off handouts and the sometimes reluctant generosity of other people ; most of who do not really care about you but use you as a platform for dumping off what they do not need; justifying their overconsumption in the handouts they give to you.

Beloved, for too long, you have lived in the consciousness of living off crumbs and that consciousness has limited you from making and enjoying the great wealth God blessed you with from the foundation of the world (Deuteronomy Chapter 8 verse 18, also 11 to 17). Stop loving and managing poverty. Dare to give wealth creation a shot; by taking the first step towards wealth creation. Honestly, you will be amazed at the latent capacity to create wealth which unfortunately you have allowed to lie fallow for too long. It is time to break up your fallow ground because you are created to make and enjoy wealth.

In everyone lies untapped wealth, in point of fact, huge deposits of wealth. Unfortunately and quite sadly, not everyone knows this universal truth which explains why billions of people are content to remain poor believing that poverty is their lot in life. Perhaps this explains why Jesus talks about always having the poor (John Chapter 12 verse 8, Deuteronomy Chapter 15 verses 1 to 11) and instructs about reaching out to the poor. But the truth is that your name is not listed among the poor except you choose to engrave it in the list. In that case, God is not to be blamed for the list you choose to be in. Neither are your parents or any other relations you may have. You alone have the power to decide and determine to create and enjoy great wealth.

Meditate Your Way to Wealth

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Sound minds create wealth and God has richly blessed you with a sound mind. God gave you the power to create wealth by blessing you with the spiritual; physical and mental capacities that are required to create wealth. The spiritual capacity is your loving relationship with God which grants you access into the myriad blessings of God for you specially designed for you from the foundation of the world. Your physical capacity is reflected in your physical strength to move your body in relation to the tasks you have to carry out in order to create wealth while your mental capacities start with a sound mind. A sound mind is the precursor to intellectual prowess as well as positive mental processes.

One of the ways you can create wealth is through meditation on the word of God. Please see Psalms 119 verses 15, 23, 48, 78, 97 to 99, Joshua Chapter 1 verse 8.

Why Meditate on the Word of God

There is power in the Word of God. This is because before anything existed the word of God had already existed alongside God because the Word is God; the Creator of everything that exists.  The word of God is God manifested in human flesh as Jesus Christ. Please see John Chapter 1 verses 1 to 14, Revelation Chapter 19 verses 11 to 13.

Additionally, the word of God is forever settled in heaven. No one can make any changes whatsoever to the word of God. Please see Psalm 119 verse 89, Revelation Chapter 22 verses 18 to 19.

The word of God is truth. Please see Psalm 119 verse 60, 151, John Chapter 17 verse 17, 14 verse 6, Romans Chapter 3 verse 4, Numbers Chapter 23 verse 19, 1st Samuel Chapter 15 verse 29.

The word of God cleanses. Please see Psalm 119 verse 9, Ephesians Chapter 5 verse 26, John Chapter 15 verse 3.

The word of God guides. Please see Psalm 119 verses 105, 123, 11, 130 and also gives understanding to the simple. Please see John Chapter 8 verse 12, 1 verses 1 to 14, Matthew Chapter 4 verse 12 to 16, Luke Chapter 1 verse 79, 2 verses 21 to 32, and Isaiah Chapter 9 verse 2.

The Consequences of Idleness

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Wandering – In 1st Timothy Chapter 5 verses 1 to 15, the widows are described as gossips and busybodies, tell tales interfering in people’s lives, sowing discord among brethren, creating problems among people, constituting themselves into authors of strife and contention, accusing people. Please read 1st Thessalonians Chapter 4 verses 11 to 12 and 2nd Thessalonians Chapter 3 verses 6 to 12. Though the devil and his cohorts accuse the children of God daily, there are ways to overcome them daily – the blood of Jesus Christ, the word of God and your testimony of victory in Christ Who gives you the victory at all times as well as putting God first. Please read Revelation Chapter 12 verses 9 to 11 and Job Chapter 1 verses 6 to 7.

Covetousness – in the book of 1st Kings Chapter 21, the Bible records that King Ahab for want of nothing to do coveted the property of one of his subjects, Naboth. Additionally, Ahab took a step further to acquire the property by approaching the subject to sell the property to him. When the subject refused to sell, he was upset and sulked all day. How idle can a person be! A King did not think of improving the quality of lives of the people he ruled over; he did not care about development projects that would benefit the people; he did not reflect on issues of equity and justice in the land and did not bother to learn from the successes of Kings like David, Solomon, Jehoshaphat and Hezekiah as well as others who impacted the lives of the people positively. Rather, King Ahab immersed himself in coveting after other people’s properties; and pathetically, the property of his subject.

Idleness was also the reason King David saw Bathsheba. While other kings and warriors were busy at the battle lines, David idled time away on the roof top not thinking about the weightier issues of state but focused his attention and desires on a naked woman bathing. Rather than tame whatever desires were stirred in him particularly so when he discovered that the beautiful woman he could not wait to devour was the wife of one of his subjects who was busy at the battle lines; he proceeded to the sin of adultery and as if that was not bad enough, he attempted to cover his sin the moment he discovered that the woman was pregnant. But when his attempts at cover up failed, David, the man greatly beloved by God and many people resorted to murder. How unfortunate that a person like David who always invested time fell into the trap of the enemy simply because he chose a moment of idleness. Unfortunately, the consequences of David’s action were dire – he lost the child from the sinful liaison and but for the mercy of God, he would have lost the throne. Please read 1st Samuel Chapters 11 to 19.

God Hates Idleness

 Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

To be idle is not to be engaged in any productive process. Please see Proverbs Chapter 19 verse 15. God hates idleness because idleness is destructive (Ecclesiastes Chapter 10 verse 18); idleness is equivalent to slothfulness and laziness which always bring about destruction, in point of fact, is great destruction. Please see also Proverbs Chapter 18 verse 9 and 1st Thessalonians Chapter 3 verses 10 to 13 where the Apostle Paul cautioned against idleness.

Furthermore, the book of Proverbs Chapter 14 verse 23 throws ample light on forms of idleness such as idle chatter, the kind of chatter that does not lead to spiritual, physical and mental benefits; does not add to knowledge, does not bring in income, does not add to spiritual and physical and even emotional well being. Additionally, wandering from house in aimless visits with no productive purpose behind the visits is wandering as the outcome of such visits is usually idle chatter. Also, practitioners of such idleness end up as busy bodies rather than productive fruitful people.

God hates idleness. He engaged the idle laborers in productive processes by providing employment opportunities to keep the idle people busy in productive processes. These ones were idle because they were not hired to engage in productive processes which explains why Jesus hired each one of them that were at the market place; those in search of jobs. It is instructive to note that these people were not idle people because if they were idle people who enjoyed being idle, they would not have been at the market place, a place where people in search of employment opportunities went to be hired. They were not deliberately idle like the widows described in 1st Timothy Chapter 5 verse 16; nor those who chose idleness and idle chatter as a way of life. Please read Matthew Chapter 20 verses 1 to 7.

Raising Governors of Wealth

 Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

To raise governors of wealth in the nations is to raise men and women who fear God and will deploy their God given wealth for the healing of the nations by redistributing whatever abundance God blesses them with because abundance should always be redistributed. The case of the four lepers who suddenly realized that what they were doing by feeding fat alone on the loot from the Syrian army was not right is a good example of redistributing abundance. Please read 2nd Kings Chapter 7, note verses 8 to 10. The four lepers had eaten to their full, had taken enough silver and gold as well as clothing for themselves and then it occurred to them that several people were hungry and had no food to eat. Quickly, they ran back to Samaria to proclaim the good news of abundance so that everyone could partake in the abundance.

For years, Bishop David Oyedepo taught on abundance and prosperity, reaching out to millions of people on the power of God to make people; irrespective of their backgrounds, academic, economic, social; to prosper. It is also significant to note that at the time God blessed and empowered him with this great revelation with which millions of people were transformed from dirt poor poverty to abounding wealth, Bishop Oyedepo himself was not financially wealthy. But he was already spiritually, mentally and physically wealthy; and was only patiently awaiting the physical manifestation of his divinely given stupendous wealth. Beloved, great wealth resides in you. Ask God for the wisdom to unlock the wealth. It’s in there, in you, latent but impatiently or patiently waiting for activation, significantly by you.

The four lepers unlocked the latent wealth in them by taking a quality decision to walk away from famine, hunger, lack and imminent death from hunger. The moment they took the decision, heaven backed them first in response to the prophetic  word of prophet Elisha that there would be abundance of economic, food and material resources in Samaria and their own decision to walk away from lack, to say an eternal goodbye to lack and hunger. It is not a surprise that they became the first partakers of the abundance. They were the first to see the abundance because they were the first set of people who took a decision to walk away from the famine and lack ravaging the city of Samaria. Their decision alongside its implementation took them to overflowing abundance. They ate to their fill, collected enough silver and gold as well as clothing to their fill before announcing the abundance to other people who also came to partake of the abundance.

The Truth about Money

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

One of the truths about money is that money always has to be earned. The widow of the indebted prophet trading oil in packed vessels to earn the money which was required to pay off the family debt as well as earn additional money to live on for the rest of their lives. Please read 2nd Kings Chapter 4 verses 1 to 7. Also, please take note of the command from Elisha to the widow in verse 7 “Go and sell the oil and pay off your debts; you and your sons live on the rest”. Selling the oil implies trading a much required resource useful in majority of homes for the urgently required money to free her sons from debt bondage. It is also instructive to note that the prophet commanded her to sell and not to do free distribution – SELL and make the money urgently required to pay off the debts and have money to live on. This is very very instructive and significant. SELL! SEEL!! SELL!!!

The virtuous woman of Proverbs Chapter 31 verses 10 to 31 made linen garments which she sold. She also supplied sashes to the merchants. Please read verse 24. The Bible also records that she bought a field and planted a vineyard from the profits she made. The vineyard was planted to earn and make additional money. This implies that a virtuous woman earns and makes money to augment the payment of the family bills.

Lydia in the Bible is described as a seller of purple – the expensive clothes of her day. The Bible also records that she sold them. She did not give them away for free. Rather, she accommodated and hosted the ministers of God with money earned from her trade that gave her a decent accommodation and good feeding money. Please read Acts Chapter 16 verses 14 to 14.

Aquila and Priscilla made tents and sold them to earn and make money for their upkeep. The Apostle Paul who was also skilled at tent making joined them or became their partner and also earned his upkeep from tent making. Please read Acts Chapter 18 verses 1 to 3. It is therefore not surprising that the Apostle Paul did not permit idleness in the Church. He instructed everyone to work and earn money for their upkeep. Please read 1st Thessalonians Chapter 2 verses 11 to 12.

Something of value always has to be traded for money. It could be physical such as brute physical strength in working the land, lifting weights, participating in sporting activities and anything that requires physical strength. It could also be intellectual prowess where a person’s intellectual prowess is traded for money. It could be military prowess or expertise, or any great talent such as acting, singing, drawing, sculpting, painting, drawing, dancing, sewing, designing, etc.

Recognizing Wealth 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Beloved, isn’t it ironic that a person so blessed and so endowed with wealth despised the wealth, sold it for peanuts and went in quest of poverty? Could this be akin to what Esau did? Significantly, and this is quite instructive. A great many of us; including me are no different from Ali Hafed. How often do we disdain real wealth and throw it away completely for what glitters that is nowhere near gold. I recall my early days in the jewelry business when I collected stock from any aunt to sell. She had capital and could bring in large quantities of real stuff – corals, pearls, gold and costume and quality costume and regular everyday jewelry. I preferred to sell corals and pearls because I understood and knew how tell the real from the fake. But when it came to gold and costume, I was a rookie. So when my aunt gave me some earrings to string corals and pearls earrings with, I returned them when I saw another set that had a greater glitter. My aunt tried to prevail against my decision to return the gold in favor of the glitter. I ignored her and insisted on the glitter.

Fortunately, I kept some of the non glitters for myself, just four of them and till date, I am ever grateful to God who led me that way as all the glitters have since faded. Talk about knowing the worth of what you own. Well, I have learnt and I am still learning that there is great wisdom in unearthing the blessings of God for one’s life daily enriching one’s life with the word of God. This is because the word of God will open your eyes of understanding to the hidden riches of God in you so that you can skillfully by the help of the Holy Spirit mine your true wealth.

Recognizing Wealth

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

If you have no idea what wealth is, you will not recognize wealth when it comes to you. Wealth is not necessarily tons of money paid into your bank account; or given to you in sack loads of diverse currencies such as the United States of America dollars, the British Pound, The European Union Euro, Canadian dollars, the Japanese Yen, Chinese, Russian Ruble, Nigerian Naira, Ghanaian Cedi, Indian Rupee or Indonesian Rupiah or any currency of the world. It is also not gold or diamond or other precious metals and stones. It is also not real estate which you are blessed to inherit or acquire on your own.

While all of these account for wealth, they do not completely make up wealth. They are to some extent the appearance of wealth. This is why people who are truly blessed with wealth are not negatively impacted when they lose money in unfavorable business deals, when real estate is lost to natural or manmade disasters or poor bargaining powers; or precious stones and metals are lost to people who specialize in stealing such resources. This is because true wealth is in the mind; strategically situated in you so that no one can steal it from you except you decide to give it away for free through indiscretion.

True wealth is usually a divine gift or divine gifts from God to you, specifically deposited in you for you to prosper, earn money and acquire what money acquires and what people erroneously refer to as wealth. That is why a number of people ignorantly pursue money; slave for money without ever getting real money because the true wealth which is resident in them and can all money speedily to them is ignored at the expense of chasing money.

Focus on Solutions 2

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Beloved, you can request help of God to overcome whatever challenges you if only you will focus on solutions rather than on stewing over whatever assails you. Are you sick and in need of healing? God still heals and will gladly heal you if you ask Him to do so. King Hezekiah of Judah cried to God for help when he was sick unto death. God not only healed him; He also gave him additional years to live on planet earth. It is also quite instructive that King Hezekiah was advised on what medications to use and he used them. This implies that God’s healing come in diverse ways; sometimes with His word and the ailment disappears as in a number of cases in the Bible, sometimes with medications as in the case of Hezekiah, the blind man Jesus ministered to with sand and other materials; sometimes by anointing with oil after prayers by the elders of the Church as instructed in the Bible in the book of James. Beloved, God is new every day and will direct you on how to get healed if you focus on receiving healing from Him rather than on the ailment and its pain.

Are you in debt? Take your focus away from the huge amount of debt and ask God to show you how to earn great income with which you can pay off the debts. Worrying about the debts and the consequent actions of servitude that will be taken by your creditor will not solve the problem. What will solve the problem is, you turning to God for solutions. Please quickly do so now if this is the challenge you are experiencing. You will be pleasantly surprised to discover that God will not only help you pay off the debts, He will also empower you to become a lender to nations. The case of the indebted widow of the prophet in 2nd Kings Chapter 4 verses 1 to 7 is instructive and faith inspiring.

Focus on Solutions

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Every problem has a solution. That is why it is said that problems or challenges are stepping stones to greatness. Therefore, it always best to focus on solutions and not problems. Besides, when you focus on finding solutions to a problem, you are actually taking sides with God to deal the enemy a blow. This is because God the Creator and Owner of the heavens and the earth in His infinite wisdom has solutions to every problem or challenge, whether named or unnamed. Significantly, God loves to give this wisdom to His children who seek solutions to challenges that come their way. Besides, creative people always have divinely received ways to navigate difficult circumstances and satanic obstacles placed in their pathways.

The Bible records that Daniel’s young life was threatened by a hasty death sentence from King Nebuchadnezzar who said that all the wise men in Babylon should be killed on account of their inability to tell him the dream he dreamt and forgot. Rather than stew on dying young at the hands of whom everybody probably referred to as a wicked king, Daniel sought solutions to the problem. He ran to God to reveal King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream alongside the interpretation to him. God honored Daniel’s request and the dream alongside its interpretation was revealed to Daniel. As soon as Daniel told the King his dream and interpretation, the killings stopped.
