Prepare for the Greatness Ahead

Excerpts from Push and Take Back the Borders by Uyoyou C. Charles-Iyoha
The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty. Proverbs Chapter 21 verse 5 NIV
According to Mensah Otabil, tomorrow has no power to design itself. It only takes the form and shape of the consequences of our actions or inactions today.  Remember your future is always a potential to be revealed and since it is yet to be revealed it may not have much value to you today.
Everyone is born great. This greatness comes from fulfilling God’s plans and purposes for one’s life.  However, many people are not able to attain that greatness on account of lack of preparation. This is because, rather than prepare to fulfill God’s plans and purposes for their lives, they prepare to chase the many winged paper called money for its own sake alone and not for the higher purpose of adding value to and enriching the lives of many people around them.
Moses became great from fulfilling God’s call on his life to lead Israel out of Egypt.  Though born for this purpose, it did not happen overnight.  God arranged it in such a way that Moses received royal and diplomatic training to enable him stand before Pharaoh.  He was especially capacitated for this job by being raised as an Egyptian Prince inside Pharaoh’s palace.  That prepared him for the diplomatic negotiations with Pharaoh and his court. Moses received the training prior to the encounter with Pharaoh and therefore could hold conversations with Pharaoh.
So also was Esther. She was specially prepared for the position of a queen. A queen has graceful carriage, mien, mannerisms, gait, tone, facial expressions, emotions control, grooming, and negotiation skills.  It is not just about beauty but a combination of beauty, spirituality, knowledge, education, experience, expertise, poise, wit, humor, grace, charm, wisdom, intelligence, patience, ability to know when and how to speak, act and grooming. She received all of this training prior to meeting the King. It is no surprise that she emerged queen and ultimately skillfully played out wicked Haman with the help and wisdom of God.
Joseph also acquired royal training while in Potiphar’s household.  His leadership role coupled with his close observation of how Potiphar behaved helped in his first encounter with Pharaoh.  No doubt, God was with him, spoke to him, instructed him on what to do yet the same God hooked him up with Potiphar to learn the language, grace and mannerisms of royalty before meeting with Pharaoh.
The position and placing in Potiphar’s house also ensured that Joseph was imprisoned in the royal gulag therefore the linking up with Pharaoh’s servants and subsequently his name being mentioned to Pharaoh.  Divine contacts are for divine purposes, the fulfillment of God’s plans and purposes for your life. However, they are also platforms for preparation in the tasks and responsibilities ahead. Jesus is the greatest contact you can ever have.
Daniel and his friends were trained by the king for the great leadership role God had for them even in a heathen nation.  They were trained as Princes and eventually rose to the highest positions in the land.
Nehemiah was strategically placed in the palace to receive royal assistance towards the rebuilding of the broken down walls of Jerusalem.
How about our Lord Jesus Christ?  He trained as a carpenter, a very tasking, painstaking yet extremely careful job to fit in with His role of Saviour, Messiah, Deliverer, Repairer of broken lives, Healer, Provider, and Comforter.
