Skills have always ruled economies as skills determine the
key players and movers of most dynamic economies. An economy ruled by skills is
a growing economy as the skilled people produce goods and services that are
traded whether locally or globally. In such an economy it is a person’s skills
that determine how far a person goes and how a person benefits in such an
economy.
The unnamed virtuous woman of Proverbs Chapter 31 in the
Bible was a highly skilled woman who perfected basic skills that every woman learnt
as a young girl into an economic activity which provided great income for her
and her family. Traditionally, every young girl learnt to sew and knit, cook
and keep home. But the unnamed virtuous woman took the skills of sewing and
knitting beyond making and providing clothing for her family to a business
which provided the financial resources to start another business; procure land
for a vineyard for wine making. What an amazing woman! She took her business
seriously and sold to only people who had the financial capacity to pay.
Beloved, these skills are selling globally as fashion designers and owners of
eateries and restaurants post profits in millions and billions of dollars. Some
fashion designers have even moved on exclusivity and are described as luxury
designers. They produce for the wealthy. So also are some restaurants and
eateries. It takes tons of money to dine there. What are they selling? Skills!
Joseph, a slave who was serving an unjust prison term in
Egypt was hired for his skills. Joseph’s skills include his ability to
interpret dreams as well as proffer timeless cutting edge solutions to the
challenges posed by the dreams. This was what gave Joseph the number two
position in the land of Egypt and by extension in the world as Egypt became the
global economic leader on account of the food security Joseph ensured in Egypt through
the save the surplus food harvest programme/strategies that he proffered to
Pharaoh and his court and which Joseph implemented successfully.
Daniel was an astute administrator who was also blessed with
the gift of interpreting dreams accurately as well as proffering solutions to
the challenges posed by the dreams.
Mordecai was a highly skilled security expert though he
served as a gateman.
David was a military strategist and courageous warrior. You
can also rule in the skill set economy and create great wealth which will not
only bless you but humanity in general. As you deploy your skills in the right
environment, you will definitely create and enjoy great wealth.
Issachar was divinely created to be a leader and not a
follower. Please see 1st Chronicles Chapter 12 verse 32.
Unfortunately, Issachar was contented with transient sufficiency that would not
last, would not take him to His God ordained heights in life. What a tragedy
that Issachar at that point in time refused to exert his mental and spiritual
capacities to leadership roles so he submitted to physical drudgery. Please see
Genesis Chapter 49 verse 14. Fortunately, Issachar had a mental paradigm shift
which took him away from slavery and drudgery to his divinely given leadership
position in Israel. You can do same if only you will connect to Jesus Christ,
the miracle worker so that He can have mercy on you as He had on the man at the
pool of Bethsaida who had a fixed mindset. If Jesus had not had mercy on him,
he would have been destroyed in that mindset.
