Excerpts
from Grow Your Seeds by Uyoyou C Charles-Iyoha
The
story is told of three very wealthy men who once lived in a kingdom. They were
so wealthy that soon there was an outcry against them by the citizens of the kingdom.
When word got to the King, he decided to act in the interest of peace. So he
appealed to the three wealthy men to share their wealth among the citizens of
the kingdom. Very happily, they did so and everyone was happy and there was
peace in the kingdom. The suddenly comfortable people indulged themselves in
every imaginable luxury while the three wealthy men went back to the business
of multiplying resources. Surprisingly, in just three months, they recouped
their wealth while the vast majority of the citizens who saw easy money went
back to bankruptcy. What happened? They had not learned how to manage seeds. So
they consumed both bread and seed.
A
wise use of the wealth of the three wealthy citizens should have been business
mentorship programs that would include business set up opportunities as well as
enterprise finance for the financially challenged citizens. But the people
ignorantly requested bread which was hurriedly eaten up.
Have
you ever wondered why God gives more of seeds than bread? So that man can have
an abundance of both seed and bread since every seed reproduces bread and seed.
The challenge with seeds which everyone is abundantly endowed with is the
wisdom to refine the seeds to high accent, the wisdom to plant them in soils
with high yield potentials as well as the wisdom to harvest them for profit and
abundance. Surprisingly, wisdom belongs to God and can be requested from God,
Please, see 1st King Chapter 3 verses 5 to 15, James Chapter 1 verse
5, Proverbs Chapters 8 and 9.
Wisdom
is what empowers you to turn a hundred dollars into billions of dollars, a
singing talent into good money, a sculpting talent, a painting talent, writing
talent into global wealth and honor. No wonder King Solomon wrote that wisdom
is the principal thing. Father, grant me the wisdom to generate
billions of dollars from what I do to bless humanity. Beloved, God will
certainly give you the wisdom to do so and once received, please, apply the
wisdom. You will certainly see results.
While
seeds differ and vary as faces and needs differ, there is a seed that stands
out amongst other seeds. This is the single most important seed that you need.
This is the seed that births other seeds and places you above all the nations
of the earth. This seed is your relationship with God.
Jacob
realized this on his flight from his brother Esau after he stole the birthright
that was Esau’s. At Luz which he renamed Bethel, Jacob had an encounter with
God that revolutionized his thinking and transformed his life. For once, Jacob
realized that his source of bread and all the things of life that man craves
for is God. So he made a commitment to serve God. Please, see Genesis Chapter
28 verses 11 to 22. That commitment
eventually paid off as God was with him in his long sojourn with his uncle,
Laban; his eventual return to Canaan and his sojourn in Egypt. This seed of a
fervent relationship with God sustained Jacob till the end of his life. This
was the seed he held on to when he realized that the stolen birthright was a
pyrrhic victory with Esau hot in pursuit and determined to kill him; when Laban
cheated him severally; when Rachel died; when his sons Simeon and Levi murdered
the men of Shechem and when Joseph was presumed dead. The fervent relationship
Jacob had cultivated with God over the years kept him. This seed is the
greatest seed. It never fails and it sustains when other seeds fail. It is the
seed that reactivates sick, dying and even dead seeds. In your quest for seeds,
let this seed be the most important seed you seek and treasure.
A
life of multiple seeds that is not connected to God is no life as it ends in
shame and humiliation. Nebuchadnezzar survived the humiliation and humbly
returned to God. Belshazzar, the King of
Babylon did not survive it. Herod died and rotted on the spot. Sennacherib was
killed by his two sons while worshipping his god in the house of his god.
God
is the One Who supplies and multiplies seed to the sower. As a seed or seeds
are planted, God alone determines the increase. This is why He says in
Deuteronomy Chapter 28 verse 12 that He will bless all the work of your hand so
that you will lend to many nations and not borrow. One of the ways God blesses
the work of your hand is to multiply whatever seeds you plant; that is whatever
use you put your skills, your talents and divine ideas to. God will ensure that
you profit from them in leaps and bounds and will additionally teach you how to
expand the skill, talent and divine idea beyond the initial seed planted to
several seeds and numerous harvests that move you beyond a single income stream
to multiple income streams. A teacher who teaches can also document the
knowledge in books and become an Author, set up his or her own school, become a
Trainer and earn additional income from these activities.
