Decisions Decide Wealth 1

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

The owner and source of wealth is God. Significantly, He created you wealthy (Deuteronomy Chapters 8 verse 18, 15 verse 6, 28 verses 12 and 13). Connect to God through salvation by faith in Christ Jesus, invest in a relationship with Him today and become wealthy through Him.

Wealth acquisition and accumulation is progressive. It is not a one off event. Though the activities leading up to progressive wealth acquisition and accumulation may be a one off activity, the truth is that the process is progressive. No billionaire became a billionaire overnight. They progressively accumulated wealth and as each wealth grew progressively, they became wealthy (Genesis Chapter 26 verses 12 to 14).

Do not allow anyone to stifle you or the gifts of God in you. God deposited His gifts in you to enrich you, expand you and enlarge you to great wealth. If you therefore allow people to stifle you or your gifts, you become impoverished and poor.

Reject Aid. No one was born poor. People become poor on account of the choices they make in life. Aid truncates divine destinies. Aid limits people from applying themselves, stretching themselves to excel and to rise up to their potentials in Christ Jesus. Aid fosters a dependence mentality which ultimately translates to mental and financial poverty – Genesis Chapter 49 verses 14 to 15. Aid makes people complacent especially sustained aid.
The prophet Elisha did not pray for debt relief or cancellation when the creditor threatened to take the indebted prophet’s widow two sons as slaves. Rather, he prayed for the widow to establish a business that would enable her pay off the debt as well as live on for the rest of her life. Beloved, debt relief and cancellation, including aid is not God’s best for anyone. Besides, His will for His children is to lend to the nations and not borrow. Why then should a lender to the nations be aid dependent, looking for debt relief and cancellation?

No one is born poor. People choose to become and remain poor. No one became wealthy from begging. Only people who have set limits on themselves do that. No one became wealthy from living off handouts. This is not the will of God for anyone. No one became wealthy from foraging in people’s bins. Only rats do that. You can excel and make money where you are without running helter skelter in search of green pastures.

You can tell a poor person from what s/he holds dear, boasts about and celebrate. People who hold dear things, boast about and celebrate things never make it to wealth, power, honor and fame. Cross check with the billionaires and millionaires you know, have read or heard about.
It is not a sin to engage in multi economic activities or multinational businesses. There are Biblical success stories. Engage in and invest in global multi economic activities. God will bless the work of your hands and make you wealthy in Jesus mighty name.
