While poverty can be multi dimensional, the tools
for eliminating poverty are also multidimensional. Therefore if poverty shows
up as financial poverty, you start the elimination process by cultivating and
maintaining a fervent relationship with God, repent of all the known and
unknown sins that festered poverty in your lineage (most times poverty is
generational), in you and then ask God
for what to do. You can start from the Bible where the promises of God
concerning financial abundance are myriad. Please see Deuteronomy Chapter 15
verse 6, 28 verses 12 and 13, 2nd Corinthians Chapter 8 verse 9, 3rd
John 1 and 2.
Certainly, there is a spiritual dimension to
challenges but that dimension can be addressed spiritually by dealing with the
spirits and satanic beings behind the oppression through the blood of Jesus
Christ rather than dancing around the spiritual oppression through divination,
complacency, pity parties and what have you. Complacency is actually
quicksands. It sinks you deep into a rut where you are hampered by the
inability to get out of whatever rut you need to get out of.
You can break out of poverty if you make up your
mind to do so irrespective of the odds stacked against you. You can start now
and immediately reject and renounce poverty no matter how long poverty has
resided in your lineage. You can do this by a reorientation from generational
mindsets regarding poverty and wealth. Study generational expenditure patterns,
income generating patterns, wealth creation mentality, what people recourse to
when faced by challenges. Do the members of this family ever seek out their
divine purposes on earth? Do they exist to eat and breed children, with no
generational impact on humanity other than just eat and breed children? Do they
celebrate poverty as a mark of righteousness and piety? Poverty is not a mark
of righteousness and piety. It is a mark of satanic opposition.
Do they have wrong mindsets concerning ownership of
money such as - I am a student and
should therefore be dependent on my parents, guardians, siblings, church
members, relations, community; I am a house wife and should therefore be
dependent on my husband; I am too young to earn money therefore I should avoid
getting into income earning/generating activities considered menial, too
laborious and too tasking; too lazy to engage in income generating activities?
Do they want to be like the Joneses? Are they subject to impulse buys?
Do they pursue money rather than God? Beloved, the right thing to do is to pursue
God and not money. Pay attention to God and let God shepherd you to your daily
bread and sustainable generational wealth. For years, I pursued money rather
than God running from one church, denomination, pastor to the other, believing
that they are the gatekeepers to wealth. But one day, it occurred to me as the
Holy Spirit gave me illumination while bathing that I had not been seeking God
in all of these pursuits. All I was interested in were the teachings and
unction that would make me wealthy and world famous. But now I know better. God
is the only One Who has access to what I seek and it is as I seek and serve Him
lovingly and diligently that I can and will access what I seek, that is if they
are still my priority. Matthew Chapter 6 verse 33.
Forget the circumstances that assail you now, the
facts of financial insufficiency and indebtedness, homelessness. These are the
former things that you should forget for God is doing a new thing – Isaiah
Chapter 43 verse 19. The new thing is the truth, God’s truth which you probably
did not know about or heard about it but you did not understand it. That truth
is in 2nd Corinthians Chapter 8 verse 9 – Jesus Christ became poor
so that you can become rich; that is to say that Jesus Christ has paid the full
price for your total redemption and liberation from poverty, that no power in
the universe has a right to keep you poor and in want because God your Father
created you rich and Jesus has paid the full price that justice demanded for
sin. It was for your sake and my sake that Jesus Christ wore a crown of thorns,
was humiliated like a commoner. What king wears a crown of thorns? None! But Jesus wore it so that you and I can become
kings and priests to our God (so that we can become royalty and share in His
divine wealth and power as the sons of God. John Chapter 1 verse 12, 1st
Peter Chapter 1 verse 9.
Once you accept this truth and allow this truth to
overwrite the facts you see and which the enemy wants you to believe; and you
daily live in the consciousness of this truth, then you have truly become
wealthy as you will begin to attract wealth like a magnet. For reasons you
cannot understand other than that God whose promises are yea and amen in Christ
Jesus and whose word does not return to Him without accomplishing the purpose
for which the Word was sent, wealth will also be looking for you to cleave to
you, to be part of everything you do. Jehovah is worthy to be praised. He is
the only one who raises the poor out of the dung hill – 1st Samuel
Chapter 2 verse 7 and 8. You are by the grace of God an exceedingly wealthy person,
birthing lasting wealth now, not by might nor by power but by the Spirit of the
Lord. Do not allow the devil give you the impression that there is no way
forward. With God, there is always a way forward as God can bring the
assistance you need to move away from generational poverty to generational
wealth. Always ask for help, first from God, and then trust Him for guidance,
direction and favor.
What you hear and see as well as what you desire is
very important. Listen to messages that teach you how to make wealth in a godly
way, read books, articles and magazines on wealth building, visit wealthy
people and wealthy places to see how they make wealth. Learn from their
experiences and add to what God is teaching you. Practice and see results.
