Then Moses said to the
Israelites, “See, the Lord has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of
the tribe of Judah, and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom,
with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills—to make
artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to
work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts. And he has given both him and Oholiab son of
Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others. He has filled them with skill to do all kinds
of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn
and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers. Exodus
Chapter 35 verses 30 to 35.
You can and should invest in people by training them.
Nebuchadnezzar invested in the members of his court by
ensuring that quality young men were always sought for and trained for three
years before graduating them into the inner realms of the court. That way,
Nebuchadnezzar always had a pool of competent leaders who assisted in the day
to day affairs of his expansive kingdom. Significantly, the training was
designed to prepare them for leadership roles as well as advisory roles to King
Nebuchadnezzar in the day to day running of affairs in the kingdom of Babylon.
Quite significant and instructive is the fact that graduation from the training
did not automatically place the newly trained leaders in the inner realms of
the court. They were further subjected to rigorous interviews by the King.
Their performance at the interviews determined whether they were brought into
the direct service of the King or not.
Daniel and his friends passed the interview and were instantly recruited
into the direct service of the King. Please see Daniel Chapter 1. Those who did
not pass were probably subjected to further training in the outer court so that
they would be given greater responsibilities upon graduating.
It is pertinent to note that King Nebuchadnezzar, like many
other Kings of his days and even contemporary leaders in diverse fields today
did not and do not spend great sums of money for the sake of spending money on
training just so they could be seen to be training people. It was for the
purpose of raising and growing leaders who would in turn raise and grow other
leaders. Investing in people through training was and is for the purpose of
developing human capital, a key resource for sustainable economic growth and
general development.
However, there is the need to make the distinction between
teaching to train, to instruct, to prophesy, to tell, to inform and to say. Training
is different from seminar presentations. Training is more in depth. Teach my
people to prosper for instance is to transfer knowledge resources, skills and
experiences to them in order for them to prosper. It is not the same as tell
them to prosper, prophesy to them to prosper, command them to prosper. It is
transferring wealth creation knowledge, understanding, wisdom, skills and
expertise to the people of God. It also means to raise the consciousness of the
people of God to prosper by teaching what the word of God says about
prosperity; that it is the will of God for them to prosper and that God does
not hate prosperity. It is to let them know that God created them for a purpose
and blessed them with the divine abilities to prosper. Please read Deuteronomy
Chapters 8 verse 18; 15 verse 6, 28 verses 11 to 13, 2nd Corinthians
Chapter 8 verse 9 and 3rd John 2. Such in depth teaching will
liberate them from the lies and captivity of the enemy that God does not want
them to prosper because wealth is a sin. Additionally, it will break the chains
of poverty in their lives; for how can the God Who gives the power to create
wealth hate wealth?
Wealth is not true because people are wealthy. Wealth is
true because the word of God says that God created wealth and God gives people
the power to get wealth. Please read Deuteronomy Chapter 8 verse 8. Significantly,
you are one of those people. You can therefore touch wealth, create wealth,
become wealthy and teach other people to become wealthy. To teach on prosperity, you have to learn from
success stories on prosperity so that you can transfer the knowledge and skills
to other people. Significantly, the greatest success stories are God the
Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They are the Ones Who will teach
you the right principles of prosperity in addition to directing you to as many
people who walk and live the word of God and His principles for prosperity as
stated in the Bible.
To transfer knowledge, skills and expertise is usually for
the goal of improving the quality of lives of the people. Please see Exodus
Chapter 35 verses 30 to 35, note verse 34. However, the ability to teach, to
transfer knowledge, skills and expertise is a divine skill. The Holy Spirit
enables, empowers and equips a person to teach. Please see John Chapter 11
verse 26, 1st John Chapter 2 verse 27. God gave Bezalel and Oholiab
the ability to transfer knowledge, skills and expertise to their fellow work
men so that the men and women who received such skills would be competent work
people who would be of great assistance to Bezalel and Oholiab in the building
of the tabernacle. God instructed Moses to transfer the law and commandments to
the children of Israel. God also equipped Moses with the divine ability to do
so that the law and commandment could be communicated to the people clearly.
You can also be used of God to invest in people by transferring
to them the required knowledge, skills and expertise for wealth creation so
that you can raise governors of wealth in the nations and be a blessing to
humanity. God bless you as you do so in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Shalom.
