Break with Tradition

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

In about every area of life there are defined or set ways of doing things referred to as tradition. While tradition can be sometimes helpful, it can also become a clog in a person’s wheel of progress. Some traditions have become rustic and should either be innovated upon or completely discarded.

Do not be tied to a specific or particular way of doing things or achieving results especially if it does not turn out right. There are quite a number of ways of doing things. Therefore, always think; prayerfully think outside the box to come up with other options especially new ways of doing things and achieving results faster. In essence, be innovative. Like it is said, there are many ways to kill a rat. Who would have believed that pearls can be cultured; therefore produced in greater quantity; and prices are to an extent affordable making pearls accessible to all. And just before you think it is only pearls; diamonds are now being produced in laboratories. Who would prefer searching for them below when they can be manufactured up here?

The Apostle Peter required money severally and always got it, albeit in different ways. To access the temple tax money for him and Jesus Christ, Peter was instructed by Jesus Christ to go fishing with a hook and not a net or boat. Additionally, Peter was instructed to take up the fish that came first; implying that other fishes, probably bigger ones could come up and eat the first. Significantly, the bigger fishes would command more money than the small fish when sold but unfortunately, Peter’s catch from this fishing enterprising was not for sale. It was a sort of money bank that had the money Peter required for the temple tax and all Peter was required to do after casting in the hook was to bring up that fish; open its mouth; take out the money in it and of course pay to the relevant authorities. Please see Matthew Chapter 17 verses 24 to 27. That resolved the immediate financial need of temple taxes.

The Principle of Twelve Baskets - Be a Blessing

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

A person’s life does not consist in the abundance of what he has but what he gives. The essence of living is giving, no matter how small it may appear to be. Giving is one of the divine keys to prosperity, breakthrough, healing, you name it. Beloved, you can give yourself out of lack, begging and borrowing. Therefore, give out your pain and insufficiency to sufficiency and abundance so that you will no longer experience financial struggles in Jesus mighty name.  And the catch is that you can never out give God. God alone owns resources and us. Therefore, our lives and resources should be committed to serving Him.

There is power in giving especially giving to what is relevant. Giving to a good cause brings rewards. The hand that gives is always on top and has power. On the other hand, the hand that receives is always below the hand that gives. To be on top, you should be a giver. There are some challenges that you are going through today that can disappear because of your giving.
When people come to seek you because of the gift of God in you, meet both their spiritual and physical needs. Do not send them away empty handed no matter how small your resources are. For all you care, that may be all they require for their needs to be met. All the disciples of Jesus Christ had were five loaves of bread and two fishes; yet because they laid it on the altar for all to benefit from, the loaves of bread and fish multiplied and compounded; and fed five thousand men, excluding women and children. Additionally, there were twelve baskets left over. Please see Luke Chapter 9 verses 10 to 17.

Speak Your Way to Wealth

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

The word of God always has power to create beauty, love, wealth, life, etc out of nothing. The creative power of the word of God is evidenced in the Bible. Please see Romans Chapter 4 verses 17 to 25, Isaiah Chapter 55 verses 6 to 13, Numbers Chapter 23 verse 19. The Bible records that “And God said”; and there was a manifestation of the things He decreed – he called into being. Please see Genesis Chapter 1 for details of the creation story and Hebrews Chapter 11 verse 3, as well as Psalm 33 verses 6 to 9 for testimonies of the saints concerning the creative power in the word of God. Also, when Jesus thanked God for the few loaves of bread and fish that would feed the thousands; He was calling forth and creating abundance from what was available. He did not complain of insufficiency like the disciples. Instead, He thanked God who always knows how to multiply and compound whatever resources are brought before Him for multiplication and abundance. Please see John Chapter 6 verses 1 to 13 and Matthew Chapter 15 verses 32 to 39. Elisha did the same in 2nd Kings Chapter 3. Thanksgiving brings about multiplication and increase as well as abundance.

The statement a person makes can either make or mar him or her. That is the difference between people who speak possibilities and impossibilities. The person who speaks possibilities always sees possibilities and therefore makes conscious efforts to make the possibilities realities. The same thing applies to the person who speaks impossibilities as s/he will always see impossibilities and therefore make no effort to dream not to talk of actualizing any dream. Beloved, it is possible to speak your way to wealth.  How? By confessing daily that you are created to make abundant wealth and that God endowed you with everything you need to make wealth. In the same manner, people speak lack and poverty into their lives through daily making statements of lack and poverty about themselves.

Access to Divine Resources

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

Divine resources are for divinely assigned tasks or permit me to say divine projects. Divine projects are projects specific to the plans and purposes of God for the common good and accomplishment of His purposes for humanity. The rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem was for the common good of humanity. Ezra and his team as well as the people of Judah and Benjamin who responded to the call of Cyrus to go rebuild the temple in Jerusalem accessed state resources that Cyrus released (Ezra Chapter 6 verses 3 to 4). Also, the gold and silver articles of the house of God which Nebuchadnezzar took from the temple in Jerusalem and brought to Babylon were restored to the people of Judah for onward transmission to Jerusalem for use in the new temple (Ezra Chapter 5 verses 13 to 15, 6 verse 5, 1 verses 1 to 11.

God prepared Cyrus to release the required resources while Ezra and his team were prepared by God to manage the required resources for the accomplishment of divine purposes in the divine timing of God. The Psalmist noted that kings would bring presents to God because of the temple of God at Jerusalem (Psalm 68 verses 29 to 31, 72 verses 10 to 11).

Much later, King Darius gave them additional state resources (Ezra Chapter 6 verses 8 to 14; money from taxes in the region beyond the River for the building of the temple and to be given immediately. King Artaxerxes also gave them access to state resources (Ezra Chapter 7 verses 20 to 24). The priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, Nethinims or servants of the house of God were also excluded from any form of taxation, tribute or custom.

Apart from these resources, the people received additional favor from God and their neighbors who also supported the building of the temple with their resources (Ezra Chapter 1 verses 4, 6). Additionally, the people of Judah and Benjamin, beginning with the leadership also gave generously and cheerfully for the rebuilding of the temple (Ezra Chapter 2 verses 68 to 69, Haggai Chapter 1 verses 12 to 15).

A Billion Dollars is Possible

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

A billion dollars is a lot of money. To some people, it takes a lifetime to make such money while to some other people, such money can be made in a twinkle of an eye, from a single transaction or multiple transactions. Unfortunately, there are people who believe that such money cannot be made in several lifetimes not to talk of a single life time. Well there are no several lifetimes as this present lifetime on planet earth is the only life time anyone blessed with life here has to make a billion or more dollars.

The Bible says that with God, all things are possible. Please see Mark Chapter 10 verse 27. God will always make a way where there is no way. You can make a billion dollars or even more because God your Father owns inexhaustible wealth and He has blessed you with the power to make wealth. That power to make wealth is not as a result of your own making or strength as stated in Zechariah Chapter 4 verse 6. That power comes by the Spirit of God Who empowers you and teaches you to make wealth in leaps and bounds (Isaiah Chapters 58 verse 11; 48 verse 17, 1st Corinthians Chapter 2 verses 9 to 16) by giving you divine direction to abundance (Genesis Chapter 26), divine wisdom for abundance at a time of famine (Genesis Chapter 41) as well as destroying satanic yokes and limitations (Isaiah Chapter 10 verse 27). No one makes a billion dollars by personal strength.

The Bible records that “Then Isaac sowed in the land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. The man began to prosper and continued prospering until he became very prosperous”. Genesis Chapter 26 verses 12 to 14. What Isaac did was intelligent investing by the Spirit of God. Intelligent investing is not speculation. Speculation is gambling. Intelligent investing is planting seeds in good soil and nurturing same for a great harvest. Speculation on the other hand is scattering seeds so that some fall by the wayside, on thorns, on rocky places. They may or may not grow, grow and may not bear fruit, or just one or two grow and fruit. I pray that God in His infinite mercy will guard your feet and prosper you to continue prospering until you become very wealthy in Jesus mighty name.

Beloved, it is time to discard the impossibility mentality. Explore the possibilities of building big from the scratch. It is possible. Peter cast the net on the right side of the boat as instructed by the Lord Jesus Christ and he caught a multitude of fish that took several men to draw in the catch. That is the right side of the boat that Jesus asked Peter to cast his net on. What was the result? Please, see John Chapter 21.
