The LORD maketh
poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor
out of the dust, [and] lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set [them]
among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of
the earth [are] the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them. 1st
Samuel Chapter 2 verses 7 to .
God is the one who makes a person great. God has
control of the universe in his hands. Please see Romans Chapter 6 verse 14. He is
also still in the business of raising the poor out of the dust and sitting them
among princes 1st Samuel Chapter 2 verse 8. God promises to take His children from one level of
glory to another. God sometimes takes people out of obscurity into
limelight by shedding His glory on them. God in His infinite mercy and great
love sheds His glory on as many people who honor Him irrespective of their
ages. Samuel was a youth yet He received the glory of God and was used by God
to speak to Eli and his family and later the nation of Israel. You can also be
used of God today and beyond and become globally famous, relevant and
significant to humanity. Therefore, seek and revere His glory.
The favor of God always takes people from the dust
and ash heap positions of life to royalty, wealth, significance and honor in
life. When God favors you, He is giving you springboards and leverages to
become who He designed you to be from the foundation of the world. It is my
prayer that God in His infinite wisdom of election and purpose will favor you
on all sides in Jesus mighty. God Who ordered your steps to this blogpost will
certainly favor you with the dew of heaven and the treasures hidden in the
sands.
Beloved, it is wonderful to be young, desirous of
greatness and limelight especially when you are full of life, great ideas,
strength and friends as well as a loving family. However, you need the favor of
God to accomplish divine purpose so that you can soar to God’s heights for your
life. Therefore, press for the favor of God.
God raised David to become King in Israel, Joseph to
become Prime Minister in Egypt, Esther as Queen in the land of captivity and
Daniel as a respected and high ranking official in Babylon on account of the
favor of God upon their lives. You are destined for the top. Therefore give God quality praise with your
youth and strength and talents and trust Him to orchestrate the move from
obscurity and poverty to limelight and wealth. The Bible says that the expectation of the righteous
shall not be cut short. My prayer is that God will grant your expectations in
Jesus mighty name.
Stop looking for
the tools that you do not need now. All you have right now are the tools you
need to jump start your journey from obscurity to limelight, from prison to
palace and from poverty to wealth.
All Joseph had in Egypt was the fear of God and obedience both to God
and those God paced in authority over him. It was not long before Joseph came
out of the obscurity of servitude and prison to national and global limelight
as well as prestige and wealth.
The only reputation Hannah had prior to the birth of
Samuel was the barren wife of Elkanah for which she paid dearly in emotional
trauma as her co-wife Peninah made life difficult for her through daily taunts
and ridicule. But one day, Hannah took a decision to resolve the issue with
God. She became the mother of Prophet Samuel and many other children. She rose
from the obscurity of barrenness to the mother of Israel’s acclaimed prophet
Samuel.
Prior to killing Goliath, David was an unknown shepherd boy in
Israel, the least of his father’s sons. Significantly, without any military
training, David killed Goliath, a giant who had tormented the army of Israel
led by King Saul for forty days. He immediately sprung to national limelight.
Eventually, after much persecution by Saul, God in His infinite mercy chose to
make David king in Israel, and gave him national and regional fame as time
progressed. Please see Psalm 78 verses 70 to 72, 113 verses 7 to 8, 1st
Samuel Chapter 16 verses 1 to 13, 2 verses 7 to 8, and Isaiah Chapter 43 verse
19.
God raised Ruth out of Moab, widowhood without
children and money, obscurity and who knows what else would have befallen her
in Moab to become the wife of Boaz, a significant and well known man of
substance in Israel as well as the mother of Obed, who fathered Jesse, the
father of King David. Please see Ruth Chapters 1 to 4. In essence, Ruth, the
unknown Moabitess became an ancestor of the Lord Jesus Christ – Matthew Chapter
1 verse 5.
Rahab also rose to limelight and fame by the grace
of God after she sheltered and protected the two spies sent by Joshua to
Jericho. The Rahab who was described as a harlot in Joshua Chapters 2 verse 1,
6 verse 17, 22, 25 is mentioned in the lineage of Jesus Christ as the wife of
Salmon and mother of Boaz who married Ruth and fathered Obed, the grandfather
of King David.
Esther, a Jewish captive and orphan in Babylon;
living with her older cousin Mordecai became famous, royalty when she married
King Ahasuerus, the then ruler of a vast empire that spanned Asia and some
parts of Europe. Significantly, God raised her to fulfill divine purpose. It is
also significant to note that everyone God raised out of the obscure situations
and positions in life fulfilled divine purposes.
You can become the next person to arise with
strength in your wings out of obscurity into national and global limelight if
only you will allow God.
