Sound minds create wealth. There is a correlation
between a sound mind, sound words, sound doctrine, sound speech and wealth.
Please see 2nd Timothy Chapter 1 verses 7, 13, 4 verse 3, Titus
Chapter 2 verse 8. Partnering with sound minds can take on different forms –
organizational partnerships, individual partnerships, ministry partnerships,
employee/employer partnerships, as well as engaging the services of vendors and
artisans. It could also be delegation. No matter the coloration of
partnerships, the persons must be skilled. Please see 1st Chronicles
Chapter 25 verses 1, 7 (skilled ministers of music). They served under their
father who was knowledgeable and who transferred the skills. They were also
instructed in the songs of the Lord – they were knowledgeable and not ignorant.
David was a skilfull instrumentalist and was
subsequently recommended to King Saul’s service. Please see 1st
Kings Chapter 5 verse 6. The Sidonians were skilled in cutting timber and
subsequently were invited by King Solomon to supply timber for the building of
the temple and the King’s palace. Please see 1st Kings Chapter 7
verses 13 to 14. Huram was skilled in working with all kinds of bronze work. Please
see 2nd Chronicles Chapter verses 6, 13 to 14.
Mental prowess should also be a major consideration
in choosing partners. Partners who have intellectual prowess, people who think,
who think issues through, who have analytical powers, who strategize, who
proffer solutions – people like the Biblical Jethro, Joseph, Daniel, Abigail,
the virtuous woman of Proverbs Chapter 31, the wise woman for her people skills
are partners that would move your enterprise up the ladder of wealth and
success any day.
The prophet Elisha had great problem solving skills
with which he blessed humanity in his time. He told the widow of the indebted
son of the prophet what to do get out of debt bondage in 2nd Kings
Chapter 4 verses 1 to 7. He told Kings Jehoshaphat and Jehoram and the King of
Edom what to do in order to get water to drink. He told the sons of the
prophets to get him flour which he added to the poisoned stew and it was safe
to eat. Please see 2nd Kings Chapter 4 verses 38 to 41. He
instructed Naaman to go wash in the Jordan seven times and his leprosy was
cured – 2nd Kings Chapter 5 verses 1 to 9. He instructed the people
of Jericho to get him a new bowl with salt in it. He then cast the salt in the
source of the water and spoke God’s healing into the water – 2nd
Kings Chapter 2 verses 18 to 21. Whatever was wrong with the water at Jericho
that was causing death and barrenness was what was also affecting the land
negatively and making the land barren. That was why God spoke healing to the
water and decreed that it would no longer cause death or barrenness. Also, whatever was afflicting the water
emanated from the source of the water which explains why Elisha cast the salt
at the source of the water.
The water was healed and was no longer a source of
death or barrenness. He advised the King of Israel to entertain the band of
Syrian raiders before sending them back to Syria. That stopped the incessant
raids – 2nd Kings Chapter 6 verses 8 to 23. God gave Elisha the
divine wisdom to recover the ax head that fell into the river without anyone
necessarily getting into the river.
